Lights out

As a designer for a student-led fashion show, I designed and hand-sewed a piece. For my piece, I created a chain and matching earrings. The chain of loops made with red silk and stuffed with pillow filling and earrings made of beads and wire that are reminiscent of traditional South Asian jewelry are meant to tell a story of feeling tied down and chained to ones culture and tradition.
